I was a little bit blown away a few days ago to be presented with Flip Runway's Technical Refinishing Artist of the Year! And to top that off I also somehow picked up Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint Wood Refinisher of the Year. What an honour!
Me with Jennylyn Pringle and Loree Pringle, the founders of Fusion Mineral Paint, Lisa Marie Holmes who recently designed a new colour collection with them and Myra Tomlin-Reid of Fliprunway, who distributes the Canadian brand in the UK.
Thank you so much if you nominated me. It means a heck of a lot to know people believe in you and appreciate what you do and especially when some of those people are your peers who know the world you work in inside and out too!
In an industry where many of us spend a lot of our time working on our own without colleagues by our side to natter away to and share our troubles with, many of us have gotten to know and supported each other online for some years but never met in person!
So it was particularly special night for more than awards in reality. A night to celebrate our industry going from strength to strength...as well as us!
If you'd like to see who the winners at the awards were you can watch the whole ceremony on my Facebook page thanks to my fellow winner and pal Sarah Pelley of Home Revival who was definitely more on the ball than most, esp. since the drinks were flowing!
