Introduction to Done up North style Furniture Refinishing- 1 day studio class
Join Nicky for a day at the Done up North studio to learn the essentials of her style of modern furniture re-design and get started with your own furniture upcycling.
You will work on a small piece of your own choosing during the course of the day and then take home your newly upcycled creation at the end.
The day is packed with useful tips, insights and techniques so you will not only go home with a cool, unique new piece of furniture, you'll also have the skills and confidence to tackle even more upcycling projects yourself!
You'll learn the process from start to finish that Nicky uses to get a long-lasting professional result on the pieces she creates for customers.
She will short cut you past the pitfalls and mistakes it's easy to make when you're starting out so you can get on and simply enjoy the process of transforming your piece into something amazing!
You'll find out how to create exciting new striking looks with creative paint colour choices, sparkling metallic accents and eye-catching geometric designs.
You will learn how to prep in the best way for successful masking tape designs and tackle any repairs needed before going through the techniques to paint with a really smooth, contemporary finish and then creating your own geometric designs on your piece.
We'll end with a look at finishes you could use to enhance or protect your piece.
