I've teamed sample-sized pots of my favourite Fusion Mineral Paint with one of my designs along with a painting kit and step-by-step instructions to show you how to upcycle your own piece of furniture.
Kit No 2 is inspired by the piece I did in a demo for Grand Designs Live this year. This cute vintage folding table was donated by Jo at Chirpy (thank you Jo's Mother-in-Law!) and was once part of a set that hung from a larger table but since it ended up on its own and was rather battered with veneer coming off in places it seemed only right to give it a bit of personality!
Colour clashing Azure & Coral were teamed with the warm soft cream tones of Plaster in a chevron design of varying widths. Lots of the original Teak wood was kept and sanded back with the whole lot was finished up at the end with with Hemp Oil to enhance and give a subtle sheen.
Follow the steps I used to recreate the look or freestyle your own! There is enough paint to paint a whole small piece if you want to as well as create the design. This project would work just as well on a chair, stool, box or tray.
Each purchase also includes access to a special Done up North member's club on Facebook where you can come and ask for any advice on this project or others and share pictures with other members.
