Learn how to professionally paint furniture with me at the Done up North Studio in Leeds.

Bring a piece of furniture along and take it home totally transformed at the end!

You'll get to find out the key techniques to update your old or tired furniture with a stylish new look and how to make sure it doesn't chip or scratch and stays looking good!

We'll cover everything from colour choice and planning your re-style, to the best way to preparing your furniture ready to paint and then how to achieve a super smooth new paint job.

You'll get to work with Fusion Mineral Paint - a much-loved specialist furniture paint,  that gives a beautiful matt finish, which is easy to work with but is hard-wearing and requires no top coat at all to be durable.

It is made from natural ingredients so is non-toxic, lead free, virtually odourless and has no volatile organic compounds (VOC) meaning it's kinder to the environment as well as us.

We'll also be able to have a look at a decorative techniques to accentuate your piece such as stencilling, tape design, decoupage and adding metallic details and discuss ways to protect your furniture.

This is a beginner class so no experience is necessary and you'll take home your lovely re-finished piece and the knowledge and confidence to tackle even more upcycling projects.

Furniture upcycling doesn't require a lot of investment to get started and is a great thing to be able to do to add a personal touch to your home but it is so worth learning the best techniques, tools and products to use to save you wasting money, make the process easier and enjoyable and the result more polished and long-lasting.

I'll share my tried-and-tested tips and techniques gained over 5 years as a professional with you on this fun, informal workshop and help you get started upcycling in style!

If you have any questions about it please email me nicky@doneupnorth.com
