Bo Concept chair customisation for No House Rules in aid of Simon on the Streets
I was asked to customise an 'Ottawa' chair designed by Karim Rashid by Bo Concept at Redbrick Mills for the No House Rules Summer Party so that it could be auctioned off with proceeds going to support Simon on the Streets.
Simon on the Streets is a the homeless charity who do fantastic work turning the lives around of entrenched and rough sleepers and those who find it hard to engage with usual support routes and they do this completely through outreach work.
After prepping I used Fusion Mineral Paint in Damask to paint the whole chair and then applied a masking tape design first in Ash and Bronze Metallic and then overlaid little diamonds in Champagne Metallic after that.
Other chairs were customised by the artist Eleanor Bowmer and my fellow Fusionista and well-known TV upcycler Zoe Pocock of Muck N Brass - who were both brave enough to do their chairs live at the party!
The chairs will soon be up for auction via No House Rules and Bo Concept on Instagram so please check them out if you are interested in bidding and helping them to raise a good amount of money for a very worth cause.
