Restored and re-styled 1950s Vintage Sideboard With Hand Painted Geometric Design
This re-finished 1950s vintage sideboard is a complete one-off. It has been revived and restored with a new design which brings it to life but is still in keeping with its Mid Century Modern styling.
It's a great piece that would make a real focal point in a room with the advantage that it is not too long, as a lot of sideboards can be a bit too long for some homes.
The geometric cube, stripes and spot design is inspired by Scandivian-influenced graphic design and has been created in black, white, grey and a deep vintage yellow - custom mixed but very similar to Pantone colour 'Golden Rod'.
The main body of the piece has been restored with a deeper walnut finish to the top, drawers and doors and matt black finish to the sides, legs and base. The cabinet itself is a mix of teak and wood veneer.
The cabinet has four drawers of increasing depths - the top drawer having (removable) slats for cutlery and lined in green baize.
The cabinet section has double doors and a single shelf full width.
Please note there IS a slight variance in shade between the cabinet doors that remains even after refinishing - this is only really noticeable in the photos and not so visible on the piece in real life.
Dimensions: 122cm wide x 84cm high x 45.5cm deep
