This lovely Teak Bureau by Remploy was in need of some serious work to restore so it has been upcycled with a hand-created unique geometric diamond stripe design in metallic shades of gold, palest pink and black. The edges and surfaces of the exterior have also been refinished in a vintage Gold metallic to match.

The interior has been stripped back, edged in gold and re-finished. The original desk insert, which has now been made easily movable / removable, has been painted gold also.

The paint used is extremely hard-wearing, 100% acrylic and non-toxic and it has then been finished with a very resilient high quality oil-like top coat finish to keep it looking its best with little maintenance required.

It is a generously sized piece to sit and work at or it could work equally well in a bedroom or dressing room as a vanity / dressing table. The height of the desk section is more than spacious enough to take full size bottles if you would like to convert this into a bar too, with or without the desk organiser section.

There is a large cupboard underneath with a movable half-depth shelf.

DONE UP NORTH FURNITURE
Each piece of Done up North Vintage Furniture is hand sourced, restored and upcycled making each one absolutely unique. We happily welcome commissions and can source pieces and design them to order. If you have any queries or would like to discuss commissioning a piece please contact us through the 'ask the seller' button above.

Please note this is a vintage item so it will have signs of it's past and the techniques used to make it which we think only add to the character and history of the piece. It has been restored and re-painted carefully by hand too so please expect a high quality artists finish not a factory finish.
