PERSONAL PROJECT DAY: Repair, Upcycle & Design

Come along for a Project Day and get help on your project, master new techniques and try out tools with me in a creative, supportive workshop environment. 

You could choose to: 

• Learn a new techniques e.g. Painting and decorative styles, Furniture Repair, Wood Restoration, Re-upholstery, Dressmaking, Decoupage, Designing for Interiors and Motorhomes, Van Renovation techniques. 
  

  Carry on working to complete a previously started piece 

  with support from me
• Explore more advanced repairs and alterations, changing or adding new fittings and fixtures.
  
• Get advice with any questions you've got on any aspect of Repair, Upcycle & Design.
  
  

Together we can explore solutions and come up with creative ideas & problem solve and then work through the techniques and tools needed to make it happen.

What's included

All paint, materials, tools and protective wear (aprons, masks, gloves etc) will be provided. 

We'll discuss other supplies that might need to be additionally provided before the day itself, depending on what you are wanting to do. 

Refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the day. 

What to bring: 

You will need to bring a project piece that you want to work on. 

Also any items you might need for upcycling it e.g. if you want help to fit  handles or add a specific paper as decoupage.

About me:

I'm Nicky, an award-winning furniture designer / upcycler and northerner who has featured in interiors magazines like Reclaim and Real Homes, demonstrated at events such as Grand Designs Live and exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Well and Decorex.

I am one of the current designers on BBC1's Money for Nothing. 

I have been upcycling professionally for almost 8 years having left behind the 9-5 life in search of a more creative life! 

I've been teaching other aspiring furniture upcyclers online and in person for over 5 of those years and I absolutely love getting to be part of you creative adventures and sharing in your enjoyment of what you can achieve. 

My main goal is to inspire everyone to have a go at repairing, restyling and repurposing and enjoy the many benefits it brings to your home, your life and your well-being - as well as of course being a much more planet and purse friendly option.
