HOW TO GUIDE: Upcycle old placemats with Geometric designs
Have you got a set of old cork-backed placemats knocking about at home that no longer quite cut the mustard style-wise? Or spotted a bundle for a few quid in a charity shop and thought they would be great for a makeover?
This how to guide will give you the steps to upcycle those old placemats with painted designs to give them a full on facelift so they look cool but also with a really durable finish that won't chip or peel off and will withstand day-to-day use.
The guide shows you how to create a with a geometric 3-D cube design and also other simple geometric designs as well as the essential supplies to make sure you get a really good sharp result and a lasting finish!
It's a really neat make that won't cost too much to do and will give you something completely unique instead of buying new.
What you create is totally up to you though so you can choose your colours and your design and make something totally unique. It works just as well for coasters too, of course.
Check out my Design School if you'd like to take your Taping Designing and Upcycling to the next level after trying this!
